Today even Geelani dare not talk about merger with Pakistan in his speeches. Now he has changed his stance and calls instead for 'Azaadi'
Pakistan has exported to us here a new brand of Islam and some of us have bought into it. This wahabi/salafi brand of radical supermacist extremist Islam gives no space to non-muslims.
I would like to remind the author that the chips fell in place finally when the great leader of Kashmir Sheri Kashmir Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah took power in 1975 under the sheikh Indra accord and a new beginning was made burying the past completely.
If the author wishes to have a selective memory well none can help. Also i want to tell her that there is no Kashmiri Pandit-Kashmiri Muslim problem.
The problem truly is that Pakistan has exported to us here a new brand of Islam and some of us have bought into it. This wahabi/salafi brand of radical supermacist extremist Islam gives no space to non-muslims. Hence Pandits have to run away. But the bigger problem is that many many muslims are also not happy with this brand of Islam and hence feel seriously threatened.
Today even Geelani dare not talk about merger with Pakistan in his speeches. Now he has changed his stance and calls instead for 'Azaadi'. But we all know what will happen if ever India loosens control. We will simply be finished. This will be another Afghanistan. And this author will take the first flight out.
